Dogs with food allergies sometime never find the right food on the shelf of the local pet store.
When this happens you have to take matters into your own hands and make the dog food yourself or find the right food for your dog with allergies. Hypoallergenic dog food that has been tested.
Here is a chicken and rice recipe for very allergic dogs.
Chicken ala dog nose.
Ingredients:
- 5 Chicken breasts, de-boned.
- Small pinch of basil and Thyme.
- 2 Cups Cooked rice
- 1/4 cup cooked carrots, cut into small pieces
Directions:
- Cook the chicken breasts and chop very fine
- Mix in the basil and Thyme.
- add the rice and mix
- add the carrots and mix.
This recipe is fine for just about any dog. There isn't too much fat in it so it is good for dogs who have Pancreatitis or those that are overweight.
